SMR UK is proud to announce the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the three parties. We are very happy to have contributed to this important event and are also very grateful for the understanding and the support received from Dr. Garth Manning, the Medical Director for the International Development Programme at the RCGP.

We are ready now to develop international programmes which will aim at helping the Romanian family medicine flourish and, also, at strengthening our connection with the medical world in UK and Europe.

The International Development Days event organised by RCGP (27- 29.06.2010) has been a real eye opener for me. I had great pleasure in meeting other fellow family doctors from countries like: Croatia, Kosovo, Pakistan, Egypt, Nigeria, China, India, Brunei, Oman, Turkey and Malta. It was great to hear the enthusiastic presentations describing their hard work in order to bring improvements in training and examination for family doctors . It was also refreshing to hear that most of them had received a degree of political support which eased the implementation of the projects in their countries.
